Local government in Cheshire is changing from April 1 when Ellesmere Port & Neston Borough Council will cease to exist.

Cheshire West and Chester is your new Council and replaced Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council on 1 April 2009.
With the introduction of the new authority, residents can access all Council services through one approachable and responsive organisation. The vision - Customer first, Value for Money, Best Practice - highlights the Council's ambition to place its stakeholders at the heart of everything it does.
The new Council is the fourth largest unitary authority in the North West, giving it a powerful strategic voice in the UK and enabling it to drive forward initiatives to support developments in the area.
