Employment Support Package

Businesses occupying premises in Ellesmere Port's Economic Development Zone are eligible to take up support from a wide range of initiatives.

The Employment Support Package includes the following projects:

The Local Employment Charter - This initiative is to help businesses taking up premises in the EDZ to recruit local, motivated individuals who are suited to the new vacancies as they become available. There will also be opportunities to network with other local businesses, business support agencies and attend a high profile awards ceremony recognising those companies who have shown commitment to the charter.
Incentive to Train - A grant of £500 per person is available to employers operating in the EDZ who wish to develop their workforce and train employees who are resident locally.
Training 4 Employment - A grant of up to £600 is available to employers who wish to recruit an unemployed local resident into a role where there is a specific training requirement.
Fit 4 Work - Practical and financial support for companies recruiting employees through this project.
Workwise - Various transport initiatives available to support local residents to access employment opportunities in the EDZ.

(This support is only available to residents of Ellesmere Port's Stanlow, Wolverham, Westminster, Grange or Central neighbourhoods. Please get in touch to find out if you qualify)
