The borough council provides grants for activities through the Grants to Outside Bodies Panel. Small grants of up to £200 can be awarded to charities or individuals in the borough who organise community activities. Further information is available by phoning 0151 356 6619, faxing 0151 355 4305.
The council's Strategic Arts Officercan give advice on funding for the arts. Phone 0151 356 6704.Help can also be given where appropriate with the marketing and promotion of arts events.
Further Information about funding for Creative Industries can be obtained from the Economic Development department of the borough council.
Advice on Lottery applications can also be sought from the North West Arts Board as well as information about other grants for artists. The North west Arts Board also has a 'Funder Finder' computer programme to identify possible sources of funding for the arts from charitable foundations. Awards for All
Awards for All is a small grants lottery funding scheme aimed at local community groups. The scheme supports community activities, which extend access and participation, increase skills and creativity, and improve people's quality of life. If you are a community group and need funding of between £500 and £10,000, you could be eligible for a grant.
