The council produces documents and policies every year, as well as performance measures.

The main documents are linked from the list below. If you are looking for a document not listed here, try a website search or, failing that, a Freedom of Information request.

Best Value Each year, the council publishes a Best Value Performance Plan. This is an annual report, which outlines what services we provide now, how we deliver those services, the standards of service we provide and expect to provide in the future.
Constitution Drawn up in 2002, this document sets out how the Council operates, how decisions are made and the procedures which are followed to ensure that these are efficient, transparent and accountable to local people.
Community Strategy Drawn up by the Local Strategic Partnership, Ellesmere Port & Neston's Community Strategy is designed to give communities a direct say in what actions and services they feel with improve their quality of life, both now and in the future.
Corporate Policies The borough council plans its work around corporate priorities that were identified following extensive consultation with residents, partners, councillors and employees. Click the link to find out what they are.
Implementing Electronic Government(IEG)The council is obliged to report on its progress in modernising the way it works with the use of computers and electronic services. The IEG statement indicates our progress in this field against Government targets.
Race Equality Scheme The council has published a Race Equality Scheme to explain how it will meet its duties under the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000.
Councillors' Code of Conduct In July 2007 the council adopted a code of conduct for elected members. Click the link to download a copy of the standards that apply to the behaviour of councillors.
Whistle blowing procedure As a council employee or someone contracted to work on the council's behalf, you may witness practices that seem suspicious. This procedure outlines how the Council will address any concerns that you may raise.
