IEG - IEG Statement

Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council has prepared an 'Implementing Electronic Government (IEG) Statement' setting out the authority's vision for achieving electronic government.

The aim of the 'e-government' agenda is to improve the accessibility, quality, convenience and cost of borough council services by replacing paper-based procedures with electronic transactions.

The statement was submitted to the Department of Transport, Local Government and the Regions on July 31, 2001. It outlines the steps that the council is proposing to follow to achieve this vision.
