The council has published a Race Equality Scheme to explain how it will meet its duties under the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 to:
The scheme contains a Race Equality Action Plan that sets out how the council will take account of the need for racial equality in the way services are planned, delivered and paid for, as well as how it behaves as an employer.
