Postal voting

It's now easier than ever to vote by post . On this page you will find the form and all the information you will need.

If you cannot or do not wish to vote at a polling station you can choose to vote by post instead.

You can apply to vote by post in a particular election, or to vote by post in all elections in future, but only for the address you currently live at. If you move house you will need to apply again.

You will need to print out the form and fill it in, then send it back to us at:

Electoral Services,
Ellesmere Port & Neston Borough Council,
4 Civic Way,
Ellesmere Port,
Cheshire
CH65 0BE

A postal vote can be sent to your home address or any other address you specify. But remember that if you want a postal vote to be sent overseas then you need to consider whether there would be time to receive the ballot paper and return it before the close of poll.

Postal votes are usually sent out about a week before the day of the election.

Postal votes must be received by the Returning Officer by the close of poll on election day.

If you already have a postal vote then you do not need to reapply unless you have changed your address since your last application.

Note: If you wish to use a postal vote, you must first register to vote. Find out how by clicking on the link below:
