If you have exceeded the limits set out above for TENs, we will issue a counter-notice and you will not be able to hold the event. You cannot appeal against the counter-notice in these circumstances.
If you have not exceeded the limits for TENs, only the police may object.
If the police wish to object, they must do so within 48 hours of receiving the TEN.
If there is a police objection, we must hold a hearing to consider the objection. You will be invited to attend the hearing.
If we decide at the hearing that the event should not be held, we will issue a counter-notice at least 24 hours before the event is due to start. You may appeal against the issue of a counter-notice to the Magistrates Court.
If a counter-notice is not issued, you may proceed with the event.
