Learning for Carers Project
Cheshire County Council together with West Cheshire College and Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council has been successful in gaining some funding for a six month project to develop Lifelong Learning opportunities for unpaid carers in Ellesmere Port and Neston.
A Carers Project Worker has been appointed to make contact with as many carers as possible and with the statutory and voluntary agencies that are in touch with them to identify learning needs and barriers. By using a variety of media to publicise the project and activities, it has been possible to involve known, as well as hidden, carers. Learning for Carers gives more details and lists activities.
