
The Pioneers statue celebrates the canal builders who founded Ellesmere Port and was cast in bronze by Liverpool artist Stephen Broadbent.

Every year the council receives complaints about odour from domestic, commercial and industrial sources. Smells are most common when there are easterly winds or no wind. This often coincides with hot sunny weather when people are most likely to be outdoors or when slurry spreading is taking place on nearby fields.
