Vauxhall's factory at Ellesmere Port is to be one of four plants in Europe that will build the new Astra.
The council provide a "Tree Donation Scheme" for families who wish to purchase and donate a tree to be planted in memory of their loved ones and is able to offer several varieties of trees for this purpose as well as organising a memorial plaque to accompany the tree.
The council have planted many trees throughout the cemetery for bereaved families who wish to donate a tree in memory of a loved one. The position of the trees have been planted so that they enhance the overall appearance of the cemetery grounds for the benefit of all users of the cemetery. Trees are normally being planted between November and March. It is recognised that bereaved families may wish to donate a tree soon after the loss of a loved one and if possible the Council will accommodate this.
To retain a dignified appearance it is respectfully requested that you do not place plastic flowers at the base of the tree or any other memorabilia on the tree such as wind chimes and photographs etc. The Council reserves the right without notice to remove such items from the area.
The Council will maintain the tree and surrounding area. If it is deemed necessary the Council have the right to remove any tree that becomes unsightly or unsafe or which may hinder the future development of the cemetery. If this happens an alternative tree will be replaced by the Council free of charge.
Donated trees are a reflection of everlasting love and it is hoped that as the tree matures that it brings comfort to you and your family.
To compliment the tree a bronze memorial plaque is provided to allow for you to commemorate the memory of your loved one. The cost of donating a memorial tree inclusive of memorial plaque £200.93
