The Parks and Open Spaces Unit work in partnership with the community regarding the ongoing development regarding the ongoing development and maintenance of our parks and open spaces.
At three of our parks we have 'Friends' groups who are made up of members of the local community, park users, representatives from the Police and other community organisations.
The groups have various objectives including fund raising, organising community events, working with young people and environmental activities.
Membership costs just £1 per year and new members are always welcomed by the groups.
