MOBILE WARDENS
Around 1,000 of the borough council's bungalows and flats are specifically for elderly and disabled people.
The tenants of these properties receive visits from a Sheltered Housing Warden and the properties are fitted with an alarm system linked to the council's Central Control Unit, which allows residents to call for help any time of the day or night, 365 days a year.
Private residents may also benefit from having an alarm that is linked to the council's Central Control Unit.
