The council owns and manages nearly 2,000 garages, which are located across the borough. You can view maps showing the locations at the following Housing Offices:
Please note that garages are only to be used for the garaging of motor vehicles and not for storage purposes.
If you wish to rent a Council garage call the Westminster Neighbourhood Housing Office on 0151 356 6945 or 0151 356 6946 for an application form. Please note there may be a waiting list for some sites. Garage rents vary from site to site, details are available on request.
The Council also has a number of plot sites. These plots are available for rent, where you can either build your own garage or purchase one from the previous tenant. You apply for plots in the same way as for garages.
If you rent a plot site, it is your responsibility to maintain the garage on the plot. You must either sell the structure or remove it from the site, when the plot rental agreement ends. The Westminster Neighbourhood Housing Office keeps a list of people interested in taking over garages.
