Home Security Grants

Home Security Grants are available throughout the borough. Details of the project have been worked up in consultation with the Police and the Ellesmere Port and Neston Community Safety Partnership. Security measures available include mortice door locks, window locks, door chains and boundary security.

Who Qualifies?-

Applicants must be receiving a state means-tested benefit, or be aged 65 years or over, and:-

the property lacks adequate security measures and:
the property is in council tax bands A, B and C and:-
the grant applicant is a homeowner.

How much grant is available?

The maximum amount of grant that will be awarded is £500 including VAT and all eligible fees.

Are there any conditions?

Following receipt of a Home Security Grant, the council could make no further award of a Home Security Grant for a period of five years.
