Buildings on The Parade, Parkgate

The borough council has an obligation to protect the built heritage of the area. Heritage assets can range from whole areas to individual buildings to earthworks and archaeology.

We are lucky in this borough in that there is a wide range of built heritage to enjoy. Assets include the historic town centre of Neston, rare buildings such as Willaston Old Hall and Ince Manor, the old port of Parkgate and the farming village of Burton, industrial buildings such as those at the National Waterways Museum and even 20th century structures like the aircraft hangars in Hooton.
