This temporary web link provides information concerning the approved extensions and alterations to the Morrisons Superstore in Whitby, Ellesmere Port.
The proposals were granted planning permission on 12th June 2007 by borough council's planning committee. The decision notice is available at the following link: Decision Notice
Although the decision has been made to allow the development to go ahead, some details (known as planning conditions) have yet to be finalised.
When certain conditions information is submitted by Morrisons, the council will consult those residents directly affected.
The council will only consult on the planning conditions that refer to the main issues raised at the planning stage by local residents. This will mainly involve consultation regarding the boundary treatments (such as fences) and the landscaping scheme.
The council will try to accommodate views made within the relevant consultation period. However, due to the individual nature of some requests, it will not be possible to incorporate all comments made, and the council will have to approve the most appropriate scheme.
