Tree Preservation

The council is keen to protect trees in the borough but at the same time acknowledges that
owners of trees sometimes feel concerned when their trees suddenly become protected by
tree preservation orders.

The information, below,is designed to explain the background to tree preservation orders by
answering frequently-asked questions and to help allay any reservations that may be felt.
This is not a comprehensive guide and further information on trees may be obtained
from Chris Owen on (0151) 356 6682
